wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Bow
a quick wiki search showing recurve bow is at 1.2 radiace of aggro zone. And i did say i was able to use shadowstep on pet before i can fire recurve bow. So it's between longbow and recurve bow range.
I wish somone did actually try before getting at me aggro range.
Enraged is great elite and great dmg, the dw is nice. But mobs dropped fast regardless dw or not. Unless we talk about some elite area then dw will shine.
Thanks for the discussions so far everyone

DW will make any bar better, regardless of area.

And my bad, I mis-read.

Both are pretty usuable on a Ranger, with any weapon. Albeit you are stuck using your secondary up instead of a PvE skill slot up, so you are still sacrificing something. Though with an attribute of 5 points or so the Deep Wound will last about 10 seconds, which is enough for PvE really, so doesn't require too heavy an investment.
